Requirement

The Client is a UK based haulage company with an array of clients and a large workforce. The Client approached TrueSwift in 2018 with the need to migrate over 10,000 GB of data in the form of 35,500,000 messages.

The migration source was from a legacy Enterprise Vault mailbox archive. The migration target was varied depending on the state of the user.

About The Engagement

The Client engaged with TrueSwift to provide specialist consultancy services to migrate 10,000GB / 35.5M messages from a legacy Enterprise Vault archive to Office 365 (for existing users) and PSTs to be uploaded to MimeCast (for past users) .

This was a fully-managed migration using TransVault Sprint to migrate the data set. TrueSwift was initially responsible for transferring the PST files to MimeCast, which was achieved using SFTP and involved extensive management of the process between the client, TrueSwift and MimeCast to ensure the data was successfully uploaded and ingested by MimeCast.

Office 365 mailbox quota-ring for two users with particularly large archives needed expert guidance from TrueSwift to the customer to negotiate the challenges of getting Microsoft to enable these users' mailboxes in Office 365 to ingest all of their archived data.
